This Privacy Policy explains how Auto Storages (Automated Storage), operated by Auto Hunting LLC ("Auto Storages," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit autostorages.com, call or text us, or are a tenant or prospective tenant of a self-storage facility that uses our services (call answering, texting, lead follow-up and remote management).
Information we collect
- Contact information: name, mobile phone number, email address and mailing address you or the storage facility provide.
- Rental and account information: facility, unit, rental dates, balance and payment status, and insurance details related to your storage account. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Communications: the content, date and time of calls, voicemails and text messages exchanged with us, including call recordings and transcripts where permitted by law.
- Messaging consent records: when and how you provided your mobile number and agreed to receive messages, and any opt-out (STOP) requests.
- Website and technical data: basic device, browser and log information, and cookies needed to keep signed-in users logged in.
How we use information
- To answer calls and texts, respond to support requests and follow up on rental inquiries.
- To send account and service texts about your storage account, such as move-in details, gate codes, payment reminders and receipts, past-due, lien and auction notices, insurance and account reminders, and replies to questions you ask us, if you agreed to receive them.
- To send marketing texts, such as promotions and unit availability, only if you separately agreed to receive them.
- To help storage facility owners manage their facilities, including reporting on calls, leads and rentals.
- To operate, secure and improve our services, and to comply with legal obligations.
SMS / text messaging privacy
We use your mobile number only to send the text messages you agreed to receive from Auto Storages, operated by Auto Hunting LLC (account and service messages, and marketing messages only if you separately opted in), and to respond to you. You can opt out at any time: reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help, or email support@autostorages.com. See our SMS Terms and the SMS opt-in form.
How we share information
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run our services, such as our messaging and telephone provider, cloud hosting and data storage, and email providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us and must protect it. The SMS restriction above applies to all such sharing: mobile numbers and opt-in data are never shared for anyone's marketing.
- The storage facility where you rent or inquired, so it can manage your rental and account.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of you, us or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization, subject to this policy.
None of the sharing above includes SMS opt-in data or text message consent. That information is never shared with third parties or affiliates.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: generally for the life of your rental or account relationship plus the period required for legal, accounting, lien or dispute-resolution purposes. Opt-out records are kept so we continue to honor your request. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and limited staff access, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help, or email support@autostorages.com.
- Access, correction and deletion: you may ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and contractual limits (for example, records a facility must keep about a rental).
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
